Citra Sangiovese, Terre di Chieti IGT

Tasting Note:  Sangiovese is the noble grape of Tuscany. The Citra Sangiovese is an every day version but hits many of the same intense berry notes with hints of spice, tobacco and pepper. For the money a very full-bodied and rich wine.

Enjoy With:  The full structure and nice integrated acidity balance well with tomato sauce and makes the Citra Sangiovese the perfect pasta or pizza wine.

Dry / Sweet:  Dry full red wine.

Terroir / Region:  From the Abruzzi region on the East Coast of Central Italy. A large region but generally a warm Mediterranean climate that produces consistent full ripe and reliable wines.

Producer:  Citra is a large progressive cooperative of growers with strong roots in the Abruzzi region. An amazing winery for the way they blend both size and volume with quality.
