ANGOVE’S RED BELLY BLACK SHIRAZ,
SOUTH AUSTRALIA, AUSTRALIA

$16.90

Regular List

One of Australia’s most deadly snakes, the Red Belly Black is indigenous to Australia’s bushland areas where for over a century the Angove family has been crafting fine wines. With countless awards and medals, this wine is getting a reputation as fierce as the lethal snake that inspired its name.

Tasting Note: Inky black with purple and garnet hues, this wine follows its lovely colour with aromas of rich plum, redcurrant and liquorice together with spicy vanilla oak. On the palate its soft silky texture and fruit richness have great length, and finish with full mouth filling texture.

Enjoy With: This full bodied Shiraz is the perfect wine to enjoy with a barbequed steak.

Dry / Sweet: Dry, red wine.

Terroir / Region:  The grapes for this wine were sourced from Angove’s own Nanya vineyards and premium growers throughout South Australia’s best wine regions. Each parcel was carefully selected to display the characters of top quality Shiraz. The cooler regions provide delicate mouth filing structure and the warm rich fruit driven weight. Together they demonstrate the particular affinity Shiraz has with South Australia.

Producer: The Angove family winery is one of Australia’s largest privately owned wine companies. Their success owes a great deal to the pioneering spirit that drove Dr. William Angove to emigrate from Cornwall, England back in 1886. In those times such a move took great ambition and determination, two values that are still paramount to the company today.
