Vintages Release

Summer isn’t over yet! Keep it going with this cool, refreshing rosé from the Rhone Valley.  Experience this great example of France’s best quality rosé this weekend!  While supplies last.

Tasting Note: A deep rosé wine with intense wild strawberry and blackberry aromas. Full bodied, quite fruity and spicy with a good persistency. Due to its winemaking style, this Tavel can age 3 to 4 years, but is best enjoyed young.

Enjoy With: Perfect throughout an entire meal, especially with fish and Asian or Indian (in France, many Chinese restaurants propose Tavel rosé) and white meat.

Dry / Sweet: Dry, rosé wine.

Terroir / Region: The historically famous region of Tavel is an AOC in the Southern Rhone wine region of France, across the the Rhone river from Chateauneuf-du Pape. In Tavel there are three types of soil that provide different characteristics to the two main grape varieties, Grenache and Cinsault.

Producer: Tavel is a unique wine which follows a vinification totally different from all other rosé wines, which is closely related to a red wine vinification. Tavel is issued from a blend of free-run juice, which carries aromas, fruits, freshness and acidity, and of first- press juice which protects structure, richness and spices. This skilful blend gives rise to Tavel wine, 1st rosé of France.

Availability: 300 cases officially released Saturday August 29th in your Vintages Section. Check LCBO website, as some stores have already stocked shelves!
