Enjoy With: Perfect throughout an entire meal, especially with fish and Asian or Indian (in France, many Chinese restaurants propose Tavel rosé) and white meat.
Dry / Sweet: Dry, rosé wine.
Terroir / Region: The historically famous region of Tavel is an AOC in the Southern Rhone wine region of France, across the the Rhone river from Chateauneuf-du Pape. In Tavel there are three types of soil that provide different characteristics to the two main grape varieties, Grenache and Cinsault.
Producer: Tavel is a unique wine which follows a vinification totally different from all other rosé wines, which is closely related to a red wine vinification. Tavel is issued from a blend of free-run juice, which carries aromas, fruits, freshness and acidity, and of first- press juice which protects structure, richness and spices. This skilful blend gives rise to Tavel wine, 1st rosé of France.
