Central to the philosophy at Strewn is the belief that all great wines start in the vineyard and working with nature is essential to producing the best results possible. They believe in living the "good life" and savoring life's moments with family and friends. This Strewn wine is truly one of Niagara’s best examples of the Riesling varietal. Support your local wine growing region by picking up a bottle of the new 2008 vintage today!

Tasting Note: Powerful aromas of honey, peaches and grapefruit lead to complex tropical fruit flavours. A full, smoothly textured palate with a slight sweetness rounds out this well balanced wine.

Enjoy With: Complements a range of foods including veal, poultry, pork and vegetarian dishes.

Dry / Sweet: Off dry, white wine.

Terroir / Region: Terroir is an expression of a sense of place, but it's more than that. It's the place itself and the traditions of the people there. Every growing season in the vineyard is reflected in each glass of wine. It is the unique aspects of place; the soil, sunlight, the breeze that keeps grapes dry, a moderating lake-side climate, low-yields, quality and the influence of passionate winemakers that all contribute and shape quality fruit and perfect each wine. Each single growing season in Strewn's vineyard is reflected in a quality wine elegantly expressed in each glass of "Terroir".

Producer: Situated just outside the historic Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Strewn offers a wonderful selection of wine and culinary experiences - all at one stop! The property has roots in the community that go back nearly 70 years when it was home to the Niagara Canning Company. In 1997, the original buildings were extensively rebuilt to create the visitor centre at Strewn. Today, we are thrilled to have a unique Niagara destination that showcases wine, one of the most important local products, along with Niagara cuisine.
